A: The hard disk itself can be up to 4 gigabytes in size. The largest partition has to be 2,048 megabytes or less. This means if you have a 4 gigabyte hard disk you have to create a minimum of 2 partitions of 2,048 megabytes or less. You must partition the hard disk using the FAT16 file system.

Q: Will DR MDOS support the new FAT32 file system in Windows 95/98?
A: No. If you have a computer with a FAT32 file system on the hard disk you will not be able to install DR MDOS GOLD. The solution is to delete the FAT32 partition and create a new partition using the FAT16 file system.
WARNING: Deleting the partition will wipe out all information from the hard disk. Be sure to backup any valuable information before deleting the partition.
