Once the modem has been configured, don't forget to enable RTS and CTS handshaking for the port. This is what we set the modem to use for handshaking.

28.8Kb Modem Switches Switches should be set to factory defaults during programming. To prevent the modem from being reprogrammed inadvertently, Switch 8 can be changed from Down to Up AFTER the modem has been programmed and verified to operate properly. If using other communication programs than CCI TERM, then this switch will probably have to stay in the Down position at all times. Factory settings for those switches are as follows:
